Questions, answered
Plain answers about how orders travel, how returns work, and how to live with solid wood. If yours is not here, write to us — we reply within a day or two.
Where orders come from, and when they arrive.
Where do you ship from?
Every order leaves our studio in Canada, packed in paper and sent by tracked post. We ship worldwide.
How long will my order take?
Once posted: 5–10 business days to the US, 3–7 within Canada, and 10–20 for the rest of the world. Tracking arrives by email the day your order ships.
Do you offer free shipping?
Orders over $75 ship free to the US and Canada. Below that, a flat rate is shown at checkout before you pay.
Thirty days, no fuss.
What is your return policy?
You have 30 days from delivery. If a piece is unused and in its original condition, send it back and we will refund the full price. Return postage is the buyer's.
What if my order arrives damaged?
Send us a photo within a few days of delivery and we will replace the piece free of charge. No need to post the damaged one back.
Living with grain, weight and time.
Will my piece look exactly like the photos?
Close, but not identical. Each piece is cut from a single board, so grain and tone vary. We consider this the point, not a flaw.
How do I care for solid wood?
Wipe with a damp cloth and dry at once — never the dishwasher, never a long soak. When the surface looks dry, rub in a little food-safe mineral or walnut oil and let it rest overnight.
Which woods do you use?
Four: black walnut, cherry, beech and sandalwood. All solid boards — no veneer, no plywood — finished with plant oil and wax.
Cards and currency.
Which payment methods do you accept?
Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Apple Pay and Google Pay, all processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.
What currency do you charge in?
All prices are in US dollars. If your card is in another currency, your bank converts at its own rate.
